  • “Mini” clinics will be used to discuss theory, leash work, goal setting, and working stock.  Depending on the dog’s mental and physical capacity there will be a minimum of 2 sessions per day with a maximum of 4 people. Getting the chance to work together in small groups is a great way to expand your knowledge by watching others! Both sheep and cattle can be available.  All levels welcome.

  • Send your dog for train and board! Dogs will go through all the basic fundamentals required for working stock with progression made according to the dog’s mental and physical capacity.  It is recommended but not required that the dog will come for a minimum of 2 months as it takes approximately 3-4 weeks to change a developed habit.  Both sheep and cattle can be available.  All levels welcome.

$850/month - Please contact for special cases.

  • Dry work including leash work and obedience will be completed before the dog is taken to stock.  It will be up to the discretion of the trainer to determine when the dog will be ready to be started on stock.  Sheep will be worked by all dogs prior to working cattle.  Basic skills such as the circle exercise will be used to encourage working the flight zone.  Training will continue on to outruns.  Mechanical training such as side commands and driving will be started once their natural instincts have been developed.  It is important to remember that progression is made according to the mental and physical capacity of the dog.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!  We are always open to customizing our services to meet our client’s individual needs!  If I feel I will be unable to produce the results you are looking for I will be happy to point you in the right direction of another suitable trainer!   I look forward to hearing from you!

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

2023 CCDF Futurity Champions!

KYLIE - 2024

“It's easy to tell that Sarah genuinely wants everyone to succeed with their goals, and makes the clinic environment feel like a safe place to step out of your comfort zone. As someone with a young dog and a very surface level understanding of training a working dog, she was able to meet us both where we were at by being realistic and straightforward in her teaching style. She was able to make a lot of new-to-me information and methods seem completely attainable and I am grateful for the valuable lessons I took home with me.”

COURT - 2024

“I very much enjoyed the clinic! Sarah is a hoot to have around. She has an exceptional way of encouraging you while being honest and to the point at the same time. I learned a lot of new techniques and would do another one of her clinics in a heartbeat!”

“I highly recommend Sarah as a clinician, trainer, and mentor of Stock Dogs and their owners.”
ERIN CARNIGIE - CS Performance Horses and Australian Shepherds - 2017

JOANN - 2024

“I really enjoyed it! There were some different ideas and approaches which was great. She worked all the dogs fairly, which at some clinics certain dogs and bloodlines get favored. Sarah was an honest clinician and I would definitely go to another clinic.”

TELISSA - 2024

“I loved Sarah. I found she was what me and Roscoe needed to get slow down and work nicer and treat stock better and improve our trials and stuff. I never thought I be able to get him to slow down and she showed me I can.”

JOSH - 2024

“The clinic was great! Sarah was excellent at understanding my goals for my dog and helping me see a clear path the achieve them. Definitely plan on attending again!

My video skills are far below average, but Tess (the dog I had at the clinic) just walked 4 ornery, crippled cows 1 mile across a field to where they need to be with no help and only a few commands. I attribute where she is to the advice I got from Sarah”

CODY - 2024

“Was fun, learned a lot, Sarah was helpful and very nice.”
